Paper Fortune Teller

Paper Fortune Tellers consists of four identical swing installations inspired by the popular childhood paper game of the same name. Each swing is connected to the upper structure by bearings, allowing the two parts to move in sync. As visitors interact with the swings, the structures above recreate the opening-and-closing motion of the folded paper game. Different numbers of participants, together with variations in swinging frequency and amplitude, continuously alter the rhythm and visual relationships of the installation, generating new configurations through interaction.
