When the Sea Level Rises

The work raises a familiar beach chair approximately three meters above the ground. While the object remains clearly recognizable, its normal scale, mode of use, and bodily relationship with the viewer are altered. Through this shift in scale, the work translates the abstract phenomenon of sea-level rise into a directly perceptible spatial distance, bringing an environmental issue into the realm of embodied experience.
